Boxing Information.

Boxing is a combat sport in which two competitors, wearing protective gloves, throw punches at each other for a predetermined amount of time in a boxing ring.

The goal of the sport is to outscore the opponent by landing more punches, or by causing the opponent to be knocked out.

Boxing has a long history, with evidence of the sport dating back to ancient civilizations such as Greece and Rome.

In the 19th century, the sport began to take on a more modern form, with the introduction of gloves and a standardized set of rules.

Boxing is divided into weight classes, with different divisions for men and women.

The weight classes for men are: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.

The weight classes for women are: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight.

A match is typically divided into rounds, with each round lasting three minutes. The fighters wear gloves and are separated by a referee.

The fighters are scored based on the number of clean punches they land on their opponent.

Boxing is governed by various organizations around the world, with the most prominent being the World Boxing Association (WBA), the World Boxing Council (WBC), the International Boxing Federation (IBF) and the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

These organizations are responsible for regulating the sport, setting the rules, and organizing championship matches.

Boxing is a physically demanding sport that requires a high level of strength, endurance, and technique. Boxers typically train for hours each day, working on their strength, technique, and cardio to improve their performance in the ring.
